Our Values

Scripture

The Bible is Godʼs inspired Word, and it is still as true today as it was when it was first written. Its authority and trustworthiness are the measure by which we practice our faith. The Word of God is confirmed by miraculous signs and wonders.

Godʼs Manifested Presence

Because we are changed as we encounter the reality of Godʼs presence, we seek to create an environment conducive to enjoying Him. The dwelling place of God among us is built through praise and worship. Through fervent prayer and intercession, heaven opens so that the will of God will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Empowerment of the Holy Spirit

We are called by the Lord Jesus to reproduce both His character and His ministry as we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, so we welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit in our personal and corporate lives. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are vital to the fulfilling our vision.

Healing

Salvation includes cleansing and freeing from sin; healing of body and soul from sickness, disease, and injury; and freedom from oppression by evil spirits. We expect the power of God to be demonstrated in setting people free and bringing healing and wholeness to all.

Transformation

We are called to be transformed people, changed by our encounter and experience of God. We are not content to remain as we are, but desire to be all that God wants us to be. We will settle for nothing less. We are called to be agents of transformation for the city of Benicia, and we are committed to reaching our whole city with the good news of the gospel of the Kingdom.

Love

God loves us, not because of what we do or donʼt do, but because we are His! We love each other with the love we have received from our Father. People flourish when they are loved. We are to be known for extravagant love. Judgment has no place among us.

Honor

We have a deep appreciation and gratitude in our hearts for one another, always looking for ways to bless and encourage others. In a covenant of love for one another, we consider the needs of others before our own. We honor each personʼs contribution to the Body of Christ, all people and all gifts being equally important.

Grace

We are a grace-filled people who extend the grace to others that we have received from God. We forgive others as we have been forgiven and we refuse to hold onto offense.

Generosity

We endeavor to exhibit a spirit of generosity in all that we do in ministry to others and in support of those who minister to us.

Excellence & Integrity

God deserves the best we have to offer; therefore, we seek to maintain excellence in everything connected to the work of the Lord. Uprightness, trustworthiness, and transparency are the foundation upon which we build all actions and ministry.
